Is this thing on?

Well hello there! Welcome to my new blog project. Does anyone read blogs anymore? I sure hope so.

When I started my private scrapbooking years ago at home, the intention was to preserve memories of travel, life events, and in general things that I wanted to look back on fondly and pass down to my kids one day so they would think I’m cool for visiting Cedar Point before it got washed away in a biblical flood or something. Think of it as a curated camera roll, but like, objects.

And, of course, as a travel and theme park enthusiast I’ve been in love with online content creation in those communities for as long as I’ve had access to screens. Not joking. I used to have this VHS tape of some total nerds at Six Flags Magic Mountain, and there’s a POV of Viper and everything. I have no idea who it was. Who’s the nerd now?

Us, we’re the nerds on Viper now (2024)

Anyway, then my YouTube channel came along. The intention was to combine the two. All the fun of travel and theme park content creation with all the personal importance of documenting and preserving memories. The added bonus is that people have enjoyed watching my videos, and that really has been a lot of fun. I receive messages from friends and viewers asking about the next one, or what we have planned, or when they can be in one, and I really love it. But they were always for Daniel and me and our future kids. And it is only supposed to be fun, which is why I don’t upload videos so frequently.

I suppose this is all a very long-winded way to say, this website and blog is a continuation of all that fun!

This will allow me to further document trips, events, happenings, in addition to or even without having to make an entire video on it.

I can even insert images, like this one.

Me, writing this post, obviously (2026)

See? The possibilities are endless.

Expect trip reports, photos, life events, reflections, or general writings about whatever is on my mind that I need an outlet for and feel like documenting. And of course, elaborations on the newest YouTube video upload.

Down below, there should be a fancy button for you to subscribe with your email and it should notify you of new blog posts. There is also a contact page on my website if you would like to contact me about questions, ideas, etc.

This should be fun!

See ya soon,

Ben
